2020 Best of state winner

Salt Lake City, UT — PSI Tops, for years the leader in Utah commercial and residential countertop and cabinet fabrication, is Utah’s 2020 Best of State winner for Residential Subcontractor. The announcement was made this week, with an awards ceremony to follow in June. Family-owned and operated, PSI Tops has more than 50 years providing exceptional work and commitment to jobs ranging from Vivint Smart Home Arena, dozens of Utah schools and hospitals, to hundreds of top-quality residential installations and remodels in homes across Utah.

Art and Lisa Sanders recently remodeled their home and immediately turned to the company they’ve known and used for years; PSI Tops. “We challenged PSI Tops to create and deliver a beautiful and warm remodel of our kitchen and once again, they exceeded our expectations! Even after they finished”, says Lisa Sanders, “they still came back and walked through to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. We’ve used PSI Tops in the past and we love their work. We will definitely use them again in the future.”

The story begins in 1968 with original founder Albert Cecil Pehrson Jr working for his own father. The company’s name at that point was Cove Tops and had a home in downtown Salt Lake City. Kelly worked for her dad starting at age 13. When her father retired, Kelly bought the company (Plastics Specialties) and then became sole owner in 2018.

Kelly was recently named one of Utah Business Magazine’s “30 Women to Watch” and in 2019, received an American Business Awards “Female Executive of the Year” honor during an awards ceremony in New York.
